A Sweet Start Done Right: Why Sunday Morning Is a Must-Visit for Cinnamon Roll Lovers

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, Sunday Morning is absolutely worth the hype, and the experience starts before you even walk in.

The storefront has a clean, understated look, but once you step inside, it immediately feels like you’ve found something special.

We went on a weekday, which ended up being the perfect move, no line, no wait, just straight to the good stuff. I’ve heard weekend mornings are a completely different story, though, with about a 30-minute wait being pretty normal, so timing definitely matters here.

What really elevates the experience is seeing everything come together right in front of you. There’s something about watching fresh dough being rolled, filled, and prepped that makes the anticipation even better.

And then… the cinnamon rolls. As someone who puts cinnamon rolls near the top of my dessert list, I came in with high expectations, and they delivered. Completely.

The display alone is enough to make you want to try one of everything.

I ended up sampling a few, but two easily rose to the top: the blueberry lemon curd and the pistachio mascarpone. The blueberry lemon curd had that perfect balance of bright, tangy flavor with just enough sweetness, while the pistachio mascarpone was rich, smooth, and indulgent without feeling too heavy.

Between the freshness, the variety, and the overall vibe, this place nails the experience from start to finish. If you’re someone who loves desserts, especially cinnamon rolls, this is a must-try in the city.
